The goal of I-DEST is to support family-friendly tourism services and assist visitors in selecting the experiences that best suit their needs. To achieve this, we have developed an internal quality assurance system that awards a family-friendly badge to providers who meet the specified requirements.

The I-DEST family-friendly system provides support to service providers for their development while helping families choose the right experiences. We believe that this approach contributes to the realization of sustainable, high-quality, and safe tourism.

Family-Friendly Badge in I-DEST

The I-DEST family-friendly badge is awarded to tourism services that achieve at least a 70% score in the I-DEST internal quality assurance system. The system includes a total of 32 general criteria, complemented by specific requirements tailored to each service. These criteria address not only the quality of services but also aspects of communication.

Why is our system not considered an official certification?

The I-DEST certification system is based on self-assessment and does not include on-site audits, meaning that the accuracy of the information provided is solely the responsibility of the service providers. Since the evaluation process lacks external, independent verification, the system cannot be considered an official certification. Instead, it serves as a flexible, easy-to-use tool that helps providers implement family-friendly principles and guides their development.

I-DEST Child-Friendly Content

I-DEST is committed to providing valuable content for families and children. Our website offers interactive content and games designed specifically for children. However, it is essential that children can only register on the platform with the approval of a parent or guardian. Parents have full control over what data the system may store about their children, ensuring data security and peace of mind for families.
